Shaenon Garrity's design is based on my song "The Ballad of Anne Hutchinson". Hutchinson was one of the founders of Rhode Island and is a personal hero. The letters in the border are based on 17th century Massachusetts alphabet books.
The shirts are silkscreened Gildan Softstyle. The color was chosen to mimic madder, a natural dye available in colonial New England.
If you like the design as much as I do, check out Garrity's other work at www.shaenon.com !
